On February 23rd, Julie Weber, the lead SLP of the district, facilitated a webinar that showcased how Speech Blubs Pro could be integrated into their educational system, aimed at enhancing the support provided to students with speech therapy needs.
Dorchester School District Two is a highly-rated, public school district located in Summerville, SC. It has over 26,000 students in grades PK, K-12. Recognized as a school system of excellence, Dorchester School District Two has been awarded district-wide National Accreditation from the AdvancED Accreditation Commission
Hosted by Erik X. Raj, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, an integral figure behind Speech Blubs Pro, the session was attended by around 20 speech-language pathologists (SLPs) from the district. This 30-minute webinar provided a comprehensive overview of the app, focusing on its customizable sessions, digitalized flashcards, and the ability to assign and monitor homework at no additional cost to the students. Erik X. Raj, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist with a unique background in video game design, digital technology, and education. Erik is also an associate professor and the director of the Meaningful Digital Experiences Research Lab at Monmouth University, where he combines his expertise in speech-language pathology with digital technology to create engaging and therapeutic experiences.
